Lumbarjack – Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem

I must have got Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem in the same Post-Apocalyptic Games You’ve Never Heard of Before Bundle as Wasteland Angel. Where Wasteland Angel was about a woman named Angel fighting it out in the wasteland, Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem, or P.A.M., is not about a woman named Pam causing mayhem in a post-apocalyptic setting… for better or for worse.

But what is it?

Fridiary – XCOM – The Pen is Mightier than the Plasma Rifle – Part V

Gibson, the coward from the previous disaster that we shall not even refer to as a mission, is a rookie leading a team of rookies into a Very Difficult Terror situation in Berlin. Margaret Atwood, Lauren Beukes and Louis Bujould make up the rest of the team.

[Note: Classic Ironman playthrough. Earth’s mightiest science fiction writers are all that stand between us and extinction. Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV.]

It’s 10 days until the council report. I’ve got panic in the UK, no money in the bank, and a lot of dead science fiction authors weighing on my conscience. I’ve got an Arc Thrower, but nowhere to keep stunned aliens, and the whole of Europe is one bad day away from panicking as well.

Things do not look good.

I also answer yes to the above questions, which probably makes me a terrible person to be your guide, but at least we’re on the same page. To ease us all into it, I’ve decided to start with Twine.

Have you ever wanted to make a Choose Your Own Adventure story but didn’t have access to a printing press? Well, you’re in luck, because Twine is a program that allows you to build interactive stories.

Do I have your attention?

a) No. I think I’d rather go look at some porn.
b) Yes! I would like to read more.

Lumbarjack – Binary Domain Name

There’s an old saying – “You can’t judge a game by its cover art”, or something to that effect. On first seeing the cover art for Binary Domain I dismissed it: Generic action-hero cliché in grey duds heroically rescues a fellow action-hero cliché? No thanks. It has a cool logo, but that’s the only good thing about the cover. Decent reviews and word of mouth led to me to pick it up, but should I have bothered?
